Pennsylvania United to Amend

State of Independence

Now is your chance to help Pennsylvania make real historic change to save the Republic!

Current Status:

PA United to Amend members made the most of our first chance to advocate for PAUA’s campaign-finance-reform resolution at a state legislative hearing. We'll use that momentum in trying to pass that measure next session.

With 19 enthusiastic supporters on hand, organizer Nick Valeriano and volunteer Ron Eichenlaub spoke from their hearts and heads in favor of Senate Resolution 254 at the State Government Committee’s informational hearing on Oct. 17. The committee was considering SR254 as well as two other pending resolutions that seek conventions of the states to propose amendments to the U.S. Constitution under Article V of that foundational document.

As the hearing was informational and came on the last voting day of the two-year legislative session, the committee did not take action on SR254. So we’ll reintroduce our measures in the Senate and House next year. Our strong showing on Oct. 17 gives us realistic hope that we can pass in 2019, but we need help from more volunteers to reach that goal. Stay tuned!

Our name is PA United to Amend mainly to avoid the appearance that we’re connected to PA Gov. Tom Wolf.
