What happened?

Starting in 1978, the Supreme Court began to allow corporate money to influence politics. Since then, average Americans have seen their wages stagnate and their share of taxes rise significantly, while corporations have seen their tax burden shrink and the top 1% have literally tripled their income. There has been a massive redistribution of wealth in this country. And it’s going straight to the top. Yet corporate wealth and corporate power continues to grow unabated as the Supreme Court ruled in 2010 in Citizens United v. FEC that corporations can now spend unlimited money in politics.

So glad that there are finally intelligent people that are starting to fight the machines. Corporations + Politics = Corruption.

I have a question. Since our Federal Government is obviously corrupted by the corporations; how corrupt are the state governments? There are Republican governors, and state legislators and some of them look to be bought by corporations. And not to leave the Democrats out, but I doubt a lot of them would cooperate. How do we get past that obstacle when it comes to getting a Constitutional Convention?

Hey, to Kyle, i’d go even further. Instead of Alternative vote we should switch to Single Transferable Vote or a complete Proportional Representation system. But the most important thing for right now is this amendment.

Hey, to Kyle, I’d say instead of AV we should go to a Single Transferable Vote system or a complete Proportional Representation system. But this amendment is the most important thing to push for in my opinion.

One more thing: this must be valid for the 2012 elections!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once passed, immediately instated!!!!

Let us THE PEOPLE (and not those moronic Tea Baggers) pass this amendment. PS.: Tea Baggers are welcome, of course. It is time to prove some of you are not that brainwashed as almost 90% of the people of this country believe you are.

This fight will be worth it. We need to fix are political system! Another way to give more power to the people would be for the united states to transition over to using the Alternative Vote system, that way its not only 2 parties controlling government and more people get what they want.

This is our number one problem. If we fix this we can replace our corporatocracy with a democracy and fix all the rest.
