Last week, the Supreme Court upheld Citizens United, their disastrous decision from 2010 that opened the floodgates to unlimited spending in our elections.1
We’ve already seen the consequences: wealthy conservatives spending outrageous amounts of money trying to buy elections for their chosen candidates. In the Scott Walker recall alone, conservatives outspent unions and progressives in Wisconsin by a seven-to-one margin. And behind it so much of it are the Koch Brothers.
You’ve probably already heard of them, but conservative billionaires Charles and David Koch have been using their $50 billion fortune to buy influence and rig the system against working families.
Next Tuesday, we’re hosting a free screening of the new documentary Koch Brothers Exposed to outline their dangerous agenda and how we can stop them. The film, directed by Robert Greenwald (Wal-Mart: the High Cost of Low Price, Outfoxed), investigates the billionaire brothers and shows the vast network of organizations they bankroll to undermine the interests of working families.
After the movie, we'll discuss the stakes of this election, and how we can take power back to people. Seating is limited! Click below to reserve your spot:
