A message from Wolf-PAC's new Executive Director

Hello, my name is Chris Campbell, and I am thrilled to be the new Executive Director of Wolf-PAC. I wanted to take a moment today to introduce myself and thank you all for supporting Wolf-PAC in our fight to pass the 28th amendment, the first step toward saving our democracy from corporate corruption. I have only been on the job for a day but I am already excited to be a part of the team.

Last night as I watched the Iowa Republican caucus, I could not help thinking that the importance of our mission was as clear and urgent as ever.The 16 million dollars that have already been spent by unregulated super-PACs, represents only the beginning efforts of anonymouscorporations and ultra-wealthy backers to buy our elections. Just two of Karl Rove's PACs alone are hoping to spend over 300 million dollars between themselves. The integrity of our democracy demands direct and immediate action to protect future elections from this type of dangerous manipulation.

The next few months promise to be very exciting, but we have a lot of organizing to do to ensure we have as large an impact as possible upon the 2012 election cycle. Volunteers should expect to be contacted soon by your local Wolf-PAC council, as we begin the process of organizing ourselves for political action at both the state and local levels. Also make sure to check out this awesome article by Cenk: The Revolution Begins in 2012. Thank you for being a part of this fight and together we will make Washington recognize what we already know to be true: corporations are not people!

Chris there are some serious issues with the current proposed 28th Amendment which may allow political corruption to continue completely unchanged even if it passed in full. Citizens United could, in future, cite only “free press” (First Amendment), and strongly argue that the newfound removal of corporate “personhood” is in fact entirely irrelevant to the case, and thus be upheld thereafter, which is why focusing the 28th on corporate personhood may turn out to be a total miss of an otherwise correct intended target. Also, it still allows unlimited delayed bribes paid to ex-politicians. So the 28th should directly address the simple yet palpible matter of political corruption, because everyone everywhere can get behind that, since no opponent can sustainably stand against it. Even slogans like “class warfare” etc. can’t stand against it. I dare say even many Fox News commentators would reluctantly have to get behind such an amendment. I’ve submitted this amendment in the 28th forum thread, where Section 1. political corruption, Section 2. exclusively public financing of campaigns (without specifying the amount). This takes on “Money buys our politicians” (the opening slogan of Wolf-Pac) simply, directly, convincingly and comprehensively. So this should be the format of the 28th going forward.

Have patience, dudes. We’re still pretty new and we don’t exactly have corporate treasury-level funds to work with. In the meantime, a few people are debating changes to our 28th Amendment and possible organizational strategies on WolfPAC forums so if that’s something you’d want to contribute to, you definitely can.

Hi. I don’t have any applicable skills or connections, but I’d like to spread the word about you and wolf-pac any way I can. Could you either send me or direct me to where I can find your credentials so I could further inform myself as well as others

HI Mr. Campbell. If we wanted to send you a resume or wished to be employed with WolfPAC as full-time staff, how would we go about doing so?
