Suggestions for Social Media Leaders in each state...

Hey guys, just some observations.  I'm not sure how you guys are going about  it, but wanted to give my two cents.  

*First off, if anyone needs a personalized logo for the Twitter, Facebook in their state, just let me know: wolfpacnh@gmail.com  
I'm pretty good with photoshop and have a template set up.   

*If you are setting up Facebook I suggest not just setting up a Fan Page but also a profile as Wolfpac so you can add friends that you will have direct contact with.  I've found that if you friend some of the people who are part of of Occupy Movements in your state you will get very positive feedback and your friend list will grow astronomically.  Be smart about it, when you get the warning from Facebook about addding too many friends, stop and wait a day so they don't flag your account.  

*When following people on Twitter I would suggest aggressively seeking out residents of your own state, it's great to follow Occupy Movements from all over the country but you need to get as many people following you in your own state as possible. Twitter will only allow you to follow 2,000 people so pick them wisely! Follow people who are already following Occupy Movements, etc and who are obviously activists of some sort.  This will make your group of followers that much more powerful.  Also tweet at News Organizations in your own state as much as possible. 

*Post links to your social media in political forums in your state. Post on Craigslist, (though I keep getting flagged in the political section so I'm worried something fishy might be going on, possibly being patrolled)  

*At some point we should start having weekly online meetings with the people running the social media in each state so we can discuss strategy, what's working, etc. I'll work on that. 

That's it for now, keep up the good work folks, we are going to accomplish our goal if we stay focused!

A better bet would be to make a group page rather than a profile. They are more streamline in the use of managing something like this. Plus, you could have several appointed admins in charge of running the group to make sure it is neat, organized, and up to date.

I would appreciate your help with a personalized logo for WolfPAC Arizona. I am completely new to all this but have created a FB page and open group to try and get things off the ground…

I would add to make sure that you’re following REAL and ACTIVE people who are in-line with our cause. Just scan their profile, read some of their tweets and take not of how active they are. Not everyone deserves a “follow-back.” I try to avoid following marketers, social media “experts,” porn-bots, and/or people who I’m left wondering why they followed me. Also, to free-up follow space I use the block tool liberally (especially with bots and spammer/marketers).
